New site is really looking and behaving great and Eric has made a wise decision to change to the new format. Hopefully it will generate new members, new comment and debate, new pics and new topics. Stories of IRL users are always something I enjoy reading as there are so few around in the UK. Once again I did see one on holiday in Greece this year briefly passing through our hotel on her way to a function, possibly a wedding, but I was unable to take a pic to back this up. Its amazing how some of the European Countries are still permitting smoking in bars and indoors while we in the UK banish smokers to back yards and pavements as if they are lepers. I am fully aware of the dangers of cigarette smoke but please.... do I have to be mollycoddled throughout my life. I am certain the government means well by bringing in all these prohibitive laws but if they were really serious about the subject they would ban the sale of tobacco altogether wouldn't they?
Nuff said for now on the subject but it remains a sore point.
I keep looking for holders used in films or tv series and am failing miserably to find new sightings. Has the industry banned the smoking subject also?
New images are few and far between. SC are still using holders as props bless them. But there are not many other outlets for the enthusiastic holder watcher to view. I still think the movie "the alcove" is one of the best around for holder use but no one ever agrees with me. Perhaps it is too difficult to get hold of. Although it is often for sale on Ebay.
I have not checked to see if my old stories have been moved over with the new site. Hope so as they took a while to write.
Other than that October is moving on and Xmas is on the way. Is anyone getting a new holder for a present? We shall see.
